All lessons must be turned in to the hall no later than March 16, 2012. Please contact the hall with any questions or concerns you may have. Local 169's Journeymen effective November 2011 Attention all apprentices: A minimum of 72 hours of training is required each period in order to advance to the next period.

Congratulations to Brian Rose, who won the Great Lakes Area Boilermaker Apprentice of the Year Competition and represented the entire Great Lakes Region at the National Boilermaker Apprentice of the Year Competition, which was held in Buffalo, NY from September 24 - 30, 2011. Brian tied for first place at the regional competition with the apprentice representing Local 85 Toledo. The two competed as a team at the National Competition, and Local 85's apprentice came in second place overall. Brian did an outstanding job of representing both Boilermakers Local 169 and the Great Lakes Region. Please thank Brian for a job well done! Brian is the ninth Boilermaker from Local 169 to win the Great Lakes Area Apprentice Competition. Local 169 has won this award more than any other local in the Great Lakes Region. Our 9th Annual High School Welding Invitational was held at our union hall on Friday, April 29, 2011. 60 students from across the state competed in both a written and weld test.
