Whereas, A Petition has been received from the applicants whose names appear hereon as Charter Members, praying to be founded as a subordinate Lodge under the name of Lafayette Lodge, No. One hundred and sixty nine, to be located at Detroit, State of Michigan. |

Now, Know Ye, That, acting under the authority vested in us by the Laws and Usages of the Order of Brotherhood of Boilermakers and Iron Ship Builders of America, we, the Grand Officers, hereby grant this Warrant and Charter to be issued to the Petitioners named hereon, their associates and successors, under the title above named, to bear date original October Ninth, Eighteen hundred and Ninety five and by virtue of this instrument, said Lodge is hereby authorized to act and enjoy all privileges guaranteed by the Laws and Constitution of this Order. |

The Grand Officers or Supreme Lodge reserves the right to suspend and reclaim this Warrant and Charter, and to annul its rights and privileges herein conferred, for any neglect or refusal to conform to the Laws and Usages of the Order. |
