As of February 1, 2012, the telephone menu options at the Fund Office have changed.  The following is a list of options that will help the Funds Departments assist you as efficiently as possible.

1 If you are a health care provider, or if you are a Participant calling about a medical claim, vision claim, or are in need of a Medical Service Preauthorization
2 Health & Welfare Total Disability or Life Insurance
3 Health & Welfare eligibility, retiree or COBRA premiums, vision claims AFTER 1/1/2012, retiree pension deductions for premiums or any enrollment questions

October 2011 - notice from the Health & Welfare Fund to all retirees with Medicare primary coverage:

Participants and their dependents who have Medicare and Retiree coverage through the Fund will begin receiving their enrollment and 2012 benefit information from UnitedHeathcare within the first couple weeks of November 2011.

 

Participants will be automatically enrolled unless they choose to "opt out" of this coverage.  If a participant chooses to opt out of this coverage THEY WILL LOSE COVERAGE THROUGH THE FUND.  It is very important for Participants considering opting out of this coverage to contact UnitedHealthcare at (877)755-5349 to discuss benefits.

Notice to all participants:  Effective August 1, 2011, Customer Care hours at the Boilermakers National Funds will change to 8:00am - 4:00pm Central Standard Time, Monday - Friday.  This includes the Annuity Department, the Pension Department, the Health & Welfare Department, and Employer Contributions.
