Jim Winn sent this message to the hall back on October 17, 2007:

As you know I have been fighting cancer these last two years, and over these past two years, it has been a very difficult fight, but I'm still hanging in there, and after them giving me 4 to 9 months, I've done well! But this past summer, when I moved I decided to build a pole barn, and being somewhat handicapped, I needed help to say the least, and to the rescue came Bob Shukait and Jack McAlpine. They came over literally took over got my roof on, and everything ready for me to finish! They were even working during this time and had to take the time out from family and whatever summer activities bring! Well, it never gets said properly, but I wish there was some way for them to get some thankful recognition! Needless to say they are wonderful people, and I will never forget what they have done for me! And again I thank you and everyone at the hall for everything you have done for me, whether it be information or whatever, you've all been right on top of it! And Tony for some extra things he has checked into for me, don't know what I had done without you all! Anyway in closing   A BIG THANK YOU FROM ME TO EVERYONE AT LOCAL 169 AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU ALL
