EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY:
Construction workers (including Boilermakers) can now file
unemployment claims online at
www.michigan.gov/bwuc.
The bureau accepts claims Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 7:00PM. To file a new
claim online, you must first meet the following criteria:
* You must have lived and worked only in
Michigan during the last 18 months
* You must have filed an unemployment claim
within the past 10 years
* You must have no wages from the federal
government
Those applying for unemployment benefits online
are still required to register for unemployment at the Local Michigan Works!
service center if they are not returning to work within 120 days.
