Dear Brothers & Sisters,
As summer approaches, I encourage all members to participate in the various activities that are planned. Whether it be an area picnic, golf outing or parade, all events are designed to promote unity and brotherhood for our organization. In addition, these events give you an opportunity to meet your fellow union members and their families. By sharing this comradery, we come to realize that we all share some common goals. We all want to earn a good living and provide for our families. We all want to return home safely and in good health, and we all want to retire with dignity some day and enjoy the fruits of our labors. This is why I continually advise you to work safe, and provide quality craftsmanship for our owners and contractors. These are the two most important things we can do to ensure that our services will be in demand for years to come. I urge all members to take advantage of the journeyman upgrade program, provided by the MOST supplemental training courses, as well as our state of the art training facility. Together, working toward our common goals, we will continue to make Boilermakers Local 169 the best it can be. Fraternally yours, Bob Hutsell, Business Manager Boilermakers Local 169 |
