Dear Brothers & Sisters,
The fall outage season is upon us once again. With that being said, I encourage everyone to make safety your number one priority. The heath and well-being of your fellow boilermakers is vital to the continued success of our great brotherhood. With outages in full swing, there are increases in man hours, overtime, and critical path work. Take the time to ensure that the work is performed in a safe and secure manner. Remember, every one of you plays an important role in the safety of yourself and those around you. While longer duration jobs have increased this fall, we must still do everything we can to make sure the small, short duration jobs are staffed with qualified boilermakers. Our owners and contractors count on us to keep their plants and jobs staffed no matter how short or long the duration. Please do your part to protect the jurisdiction of Boilermakers Local 169 by manning these jobs. In closing, I would like to thank all the locals, members, contractors, and others that contributed to the benefit for our fallen brother, Luke Fultz. Together we were able to raise over $10,000 to help ease the burden on his family. I am very proud of all of you for coming together in support of the Fultz family. It is evident that the spirit of "brotherhood" is alive and well in Local 169. Fraternally yours, Bob Hutsell Business Manager/Secretary Treasurer Boilermakers Local 169 Comments are closed.
