Dear Brothers & Sisters,

Now that the holiday season is upon us, I am encouraging all members to put safety at the top of your list.  With all the activities going on at this time of year, it is very easy to forget about safety.  At work or at play, do your best to ensure that you and your fellow boilermakers return home safely each and every day.

I look forward to seeing you at the next regularly scheduled union meeting this December 11, 2015.  There will be food and refreshments immediately following the meeting.  Come share some holiday cheer with your union brothers and sisters.

As the new year approaches, so does the deadline for the MOST BDS referral compliance.  If you have any questions regarding your training status, please contact the union hall.

With the new year comes New Year resolutions.  While some resolve to eat less or exercise more, why not add welding certifications to that list?  If you are already a certified welder, go for stainless steel certifications.  Already certified in stainless steel?  Sign up for orbital welding certifications.  Having these skills not only makes you more marketable to our owners and contractors, it also pus more money in your pocket.  Our training center has everything you need to acquire these skills.  I urge every member to take advantage of it.
