Dear Brothers and Sisters,
I want to take this opportunity to wish all of you the very best this holiday season. Please make sure to attend the union meeting on December 9th, where dinner and refreshments will be provided. It was a good year for Boilermakers Local 169 and I am hopeful the coming year will provide even more work opportunities for the hard-working members of our lodge. While we enjoyed a relatively safe past year, we must strive to make the coming year even better. It is our duty to ensure that every member returns home from work safely and in good health. This not only benefits the member, it benefits our owners and contractors. By assisting our owners and contractors in reducing the injury rate, we ensure future work opportunities for Boilermakers Local 169. This past year we have embarked on some improvements to benefit our local in the future. We have begun training on small boilers, instrumentation, and burner controls so that we can capture additional man hours. We are also assisting members in their efforts to obtain a state Boiler Installers and Repairers License. In addition, we have been utilizing our market recovery program to target work that is being wrongly assigned. In closing, I would like to urge all members to make Boilermakers Local 169 the best it can be. We must show up every day, on time, with the skills and work ethic needed to make us the safest, and best choice for our owners and contractors. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Fraternally, Bob Hutsell Business Manager/Secretary-Treasurer Boilermakers Local 169 Comments are closed.
